This renovation focused on transforming a 1940s property into a large, modern family home with the feel of an ultra-modern retreat in the city.
The project included two extensions wrapping around the property with extensive works to the garden including building a swimming pool.
From the outset, the aim was to create something that felt more than just a house: A private, modern retreat in the heart of the city.
The client wanted to significantly increase the size of the property while creating a more modern luxury home.
The brief included a substantial double-storey extension, a single-storey rear extension and a bespoke swimming pool. The new spaces needed to feel like a natural part of the existing home, with plenty of light and bespoke features throughout the house and garden.
We constructed the double-storey extension, creating additional space across two floors and providing 2 new bedrooms, further living areas and entertainment spaces.
At the rear of the property, we added a single-storey extension designed to open the home towards the garden. Large bespoke glazing helped flood natural light into the living spaces, creating an easy connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
One of the standout elements of the project was the bespoke swimming pool. It becomes the focal point of the property, adding entertainment space and elevating the garden. We also added a sunken garden retreat, used as a gym, sauna and wellness area meaning there would be nothing the client doesn’t want within the walls of their home.
Throughout the build, we worked closely with the client to make sure the details, finishes and layout reflected the way they wanted to live.
The completed renovation has transformed the property into a spacious and luxurious family home. Fully specc’d inside working with the client to add personal touches such as keyless entry, a top of the range kitchen, bespoke joinery, and walk-in wardrobes.
The extensions blend naturally with the existing house, while the new swimming pool and outdoor fireplace creates a private retreat in the garden. The result is a home that combines thoughtful design, quality finishes and practical spaces tailored to the client.
