This project was about giving a neglected building a completely new purpose. The aim was to transform the existing structure into a modern, vibrant office that would provide a practical working environment while reflecting the client’s brand and identity.
Following a successful project two years prior, our returning client wanted to make better use of an existing derelict building by adding a vertical extension and creating additional office space.
Sustainability was an important part of the brief. The finished workplace needed to be comfortable and efficient, while keeping its environmental impact as low as possible.
We worked on the transformation of the existing building, demolishment of the walls, replumbing, rewiring, installing a brand new VRF heating and cooling system along with air source heat pumps. The work continued with a vertical single extension, new driveway and cycle storage for employees.
Sustainability was considered throughout the project, from energy-efficient lighting and climate control to the use of more environmentally conscious building materials. The aim was to create an office that was not only well designed, but also an efficient and welcoming space for employees to come to work.
The finished project turned a tired and neglected building into a bright, modern workplace. The design throughout offers employees a welcome space to collaborate and inspire creativity.
The additional building provided the client with the room they needed as a growing business, while the design and finishes helped create an office that reflected their brand through tiling and colour. By combining thoughtful design, quality construction and sustainable solutions, the building was given a new lease of life.
